Axminster AWVSL Woodturning Lathe

This lathe is constructed from cast iron and includes a powerful 375W(1/2hp) DC permanent magnet motor with electronic speed control that provides full torque at all speeds. Dial a slow speed for larger pieces and faster speeds for spindles and fine finishing. The 3-belt ratios give a speed range from 650rpm to 3,800rpm. Fitted with a digital screen to show the spindle speed. An extension bed is available that simply bolts onto the machine's bed casting to provide a massive 1,088mm between centres. Quick release levers are fitted to all moving items to ease adjustment, robust 2MT tapers in both headstock and tailstock, through boring provided at both ends and rubber feet for vibration free running. Still portable at 38kg, this would be a great lathe for the smaller workshop or craft demonstrations.
