Axminster ED16SB Pillar Drill

This is an upgraded small bench mounted pillar drill with the model engineer in mind. Featuring a 370W alloy motor, 5 speeds from 460-2890 rpm, a quality 16mm keyless chuck and rack & pinion rise & fall control for the table. The table itself is square in shape, tilts 45° - 0 - 45°, has a coolant gutter and 16mm T slots to secure the work piece. The cast iron control handle feeds a rugged quill that has a 2MT internal taper for use with morse taper drill bits. Speed changing is via the tilting belt cover, fitted with an interlock switch for added safety. The table can be easily swung out of the way to allow the full height of 430mm between the chuck and base to be utilised. Slightly taller at 840mm, quiet running and with a sizable base this drill is quite a sturdy alternative to the smaller units we offer.
