Gold Plated Book Mark Kit

A quick and inexpensive way of using up all types of small offcuts of highly figured grain or burr timber. Simply mount the offcuts in an Axminster or similar chuck and turn to an 18mm diameter dome. End grain looks the most attractive. Easily turned to the dome with a spindle or bowl gouge, sanded, polished and parted off with a slight undercut to approximately 3mm-6mm thick. Glue onto the gold plated bookmark with ZAP adhesive (see under Glues & Screws). Many of these jewellery-like bookmarks can be cut from a small length of material.
