An excellent choice for the precision workshop, school or discerning professional user. Solid and very well made, the drill has a number of unique features that put it in a class of its own. The machine supplied complete with its own cabinet stand with latching lock and three shelves which are useful for vice and drill bit storage. To improve the stability of the machine, the base is extended out by some 125mm and into this extension is placed an emergency foot switch that, when pressed, cuts the power to the drill. The fixed table is more stable than the more usual tilting version; angled holes can be drilled using a tilting vice secured on the table with tee bolts in the two 12mm T slots milled in the table. A substantial jacking handle raises and lowers the head and column into the base with the column going down into the cabinet base (the interior of the cabinet is partitioned and the column is accessible by removing a cover plate at the rear of the machine). The drilling head has a 90mm spindle travel with depth gauge and heavy duty lock to ensure that depth settings can be locked firmly. The belt guard is made of heavy duty steel and has a fully interlocked safety switch fitted which can not be overridden in any way. Supplied complete with 3-16mm keyless chuck, electrically interlocked drill guard, foot stop switch and service tools. A top quality, heavy duty drill at a very affordable price.
