CMT Cutter Head

Two sizes of safety block, both with 30mm bores (100mm also available with 1 1/4" bore), which will accept the whole range of Euro cutters and limiters shown within this section. For those who are unfamiliar with spindle moulder tooling, limiters are a safety device designed to limit the amount of cut taken by the cutters on each rotation of the block. They take the form of a dummy cutter with the profile cut slightly below the cutter profile and with the sharp edges removed. They fit into the slots in the block in front of the main cutters and are secured by the same wedge as the cutters. The blocks are supplied in a storage case with a pair of rebate knives and limiters and storage slots for six further pairs of cutters or limiters. The 100mm block is aluminium and the 78mm block is steel.
