Japanese Anahiki Beam Saw
The Japanese woodworker's saw for initial cutting of planks or beams. Curved along its cutting edge to ensure every tooth gets to work throughout each stroke. The tooth profile is designed to work both with and across the grain and equally well at an angle to the direction of the grain. Sometimes referred to as the 'roughing saw', a most descriptive title. Nothing in our experience has quite the speed capability once mastered. Blade 440mm long, 820mm overall.
