Japanese Azebiki Panel Saw

Having a short Ryoba style blade with curved cutting edges, the Azebiki saw allows cuts to begin in the centre of a panel or board. The Azebiki is also used to cut sliding dovetails or dados. Obviously a Dozuki saw is also capable of this type of cut, except where the sliding dovetail or dado is stopped which is where the Azebiki comes into its own. In Western hands this would also make an excellent veneer saw as the user's hands are well away from the blade for better sighting, and with the Japanese quality of cutting edge. Blade 100mm long, 450mm overall.
