Classic dovetail saw Traditional Sheffield design of the 1830s Swedish steel blade with Curly Maple handle Teeth filed to a rip profile, 15 point with 0.66mm kerf Blade length of 230mm(9") by 42mm(1.5/8")
Lie-Nielsen Dovetail Saw
A classic dovetail saw based on a traditional Sheffield design of the 1830s and brought to perfection by the modern craftsmanship of the renowned Lie-Nielsen workshops. The blades are made from 0.5mm(.020") thick polished Swedish steel and the handles are from curly Maple. A delight both to look at and to use. Since dovetailing is a ripping operation, where the kerf is running with the grain, the teeth are filed to a rip profile, unlike other dovetail saws on the market today. With 14 points per 25mm, this saw strikes an ideal balance between surface finish and speed. Rip cut teeth are set at 0.07mm per side for a fine 0.66mm kerf. Length, including handle, is 350mm(14"), with a blade length of 230mm(9") by 42mm(1 5/8") deep.

"Well, it's a lie nielsen, what more needs to be said? without a doubt the best dovetail saw i've ever layed eyes upon! cuts like a dream, manufactured with impeccable tollerances, and when held feels like an extension of the wrist! all in all, 98/100!"

Best dovetail saw I have ever used
"I endorse the previous reviewer - buy this saw!
The ease of cut, and the accuracy is superb. The kerf is so thin that the saw can not easily wander during the cut making for a really straight cut.
The joints I have cut with this saw are easily the best I have done in 35 years of (hobby) woodwork."
