Next Day Delivery
Axminster offers a quality next day delivery service to over 99% of UK households. The remaining postcode areas not serviced ‘next day’ are delivered within 2-3 days.
The ‘next day’ service carries products over 2Kg in weight unless the product is stipulated as a ‘heavy goods delivery only’ in the catalogue (Products under 2Kg in weight are sent first class with the Royal Mail).
Every effort is made to achieve a next day delivery, however circumstances occasionally prevail to prevent this. If a pre-noon delivery is specifically required a ‘Pre-noon Overnight’ Delivery service is offered.
2-3 Day Delivery
A 2-3 day delivery service applies to deliveries made to offshore islands and remote areas.
Pre-noon Overnight Delivery
A pre-noon overnight delivery service can be arranged at an additional charge of £6.00. This service operates Monday to Friday only and is subject to payment by credit card and orders placed before 4pm (this service is not guaranteed). Orders under 2kg are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery and are delivered before 1.00pm.
Axminster Heavy Goods Delivery
Where a product is stipulated as requiring Axminster Heavy Goods delivery only, a delivery charge of £49 or £69 (subject to the size and weight of the machine purchased) will be made. The large size and/or weight of the product make it inappropriate to transport on a regular delivery vehicle and a heavy goods vehicle is needed. After purchase, our transport manager will call to arrange a convenient delivery time.
Every effort is made to complete the delivery at the earliest possible date and typically delivery is made within 2 weeks, however please be aware that on occasions this service can take up to 4 weeks.
Scottish Offshore Islands, Isle of Man and Channel Islands
Consignments over £50 and under 1.5kg are delivered free; delivery on other consignments will be as follows: 1.5kg-20kg £10, 21kg-60kg £40, 61kg-90kg £50. For details of carriage charges on consignments exceeding 90kg please contact our Export Sales department on 01297 33666 for a quotation.
Overseas Delivery
Consignments up 1.5kg in weight will incur a charge of £5.95.
Consignments between 1.5kg and 10kg in weight will be as follows:
Zone 1 Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg & Netherlands £12.95
Zone 2 France & Germany £15.95
Zone 3 Austria, Italy, Portugal & Spain £17.95
Zone 4 Denmark, Finland & Sweden £18.95
Any orders to these destinations over 10kg and all orders to any other overseas countries, whether under or over 10kg, will not display a carriage charge when placing an order online. When we receive the order it will go on hold, a delivery cost will be worked out and we will then contact you with the total cost and ask if you wish to go ahead with the order.
Delivery Charges
Delivery is FREE for all orders over £50 in value to UK mainland addresses (orders under £50 - p&p £4.95).
Axminster heavy goods deliveries are subject to a £49 or £69 delivery charge subject to the size and weight of the product.
