3 in 1 Sharpening Sled
This is a design based on a traditional Japanese blade sharpening jig and is one of the most stable and easy to use honing guides we have yet found. Riding on four bearings rather than a single wheel, the guide keeps blades squarely and securely seated and is very stable in use. A sliding blade alignment ring helps ensure the blade is square to the sharpening surface. The blade clamp can accommodate chisels or plane blades up to 6mm thick and up to 75mm wide. The jig can be used with sharpening stones up to 50mm thick and up to 100mm wide or on a flat surface such as plate glass or surface plate with abrasive paper or pastes. Made of strong anodized aluminum. Supplied with two blade clamps (100mm and 120mm). The easiest, fastest, way to sharpen or hone chisels and plane blades, in just four easy stages: 1) Loosen black handles and set the blade holder to the desired level. Tighten handles. 2) Place the guide over your sharpening stone. 3) Insert blade, push alignment "slide" up against the side of the blade to ensure a square edge. 4) Tighten brass toggle foot clamp to secure blade and away you go!
