Safety Visor
Fully adjustable for those of us with larger heads, the Axminster visor is excellent for use in either the workshop or on site. It offers full face protection to BS2092 grade 2 standard for woodturning and other activities. The visor has a comfort padded head band, and is hinged at the sides enabling it to be conveniently flipped up and down as required. No more goggles to steam up, and a real boon for wearers of spectacles.

"Brilliant
Not heavy
Not obtrusive
IN fact I forget I am wearing it until I walk out the garage and bang my head on the door frame ( which doesnt hurt as I have a visor on)
I started turning about 7 years ago using goggles/glasses. After a black eye and a split lip (its not... will a piece of wood come loose ...its when will it come loose) I decided to change to a visor.
I have never looked back. I have 3 of these now. 2 for me , one for my Daughter age 12. whilst they will never stop a really big chunk of Oak (what will) They give you more confidence too as you are not so nervous about a mishap. I feel they should be standard issue with every lathe purchased and we just pay a little more at the beginning.
The safety and benefit far outweighs the cost.
