Axminster WV2000 Fine Dust Extractor with Acoustic Hood
This is the largest and most versatile of the Axminster WV range. It is powered by twin individually switched 1.0kW motors enclosed in a noise reducing acoustic hood. Mounting is either to a wall using the special plate provided or on a mobile wheeled stand which allows the unit to be moved around the workshop. The WV2000 is equipped with left and right hand inlet ports, either of which can be connected into the ducting which makes for more flexibility in the installation. In common with all the WV range, the 2000 has triple filtration which can filter out particles down to 0.5 micron. The primary, or vortex, filter can be viewed through a transparent panel in the front of the machine and the panel removed to gain access for maintenance. The high capacity of the unit (standard sacks are 200 litre) can be increased still further if headroom allows by mounting the extractor higher on the wall and fitting a larger capacity, 260 litre waste sack. Standard equipment includes 2.5 metres of 102mm flexible hose, spare pack of waste collection sacks, spare pack of filters and a mains lead with factory fitted plug.

WV2000 Good vac, but not a complete solution
"Solidly built and reliable, with a really strong suction when all the filters are new, but unfortunately poorly designed. The two inlets directly face each inside the casing (very aerodynamic), the mesh bag framework catches the chippings, so prematurely blocking the vortex chamber before the bag is full, the fine dust settles on numerous internal ledges. Fastening the nasty metal strap is quite likely to injure your fingers whilst you struggle to hold up the bag and both ends of the strap together. Mine is permanently hung on the wall, so to clean and empty it, I cannot avoid filling the workshop and myself with sub-micron dust. Its very noisy, even for a vacuum. Finally, it is NOT adequate for extracting from a 12" thicknesser, where the chippings have to be sucked upwards. There is simply not enough air flow. For a one-man shop solution I recommend a real chip extractor such as the ADE2000, plus a strong portable vac that you can empty outside."
