Henry Taylor Dovetail Scraper

This specialist dovetail scraper has a 12" long blade ground from 1/4" x 1/2" high speed steel bar. It can be used for the quick and importantly accurate forming of an internal dovetail prior to mounting the workpiece onto the chuck. It will also cut an external dovetail, but the lathe would need to have a reverse capability and the tool presented on the far side of the workpiece to achieve this.
