Victor Bevel Edge Socket Chisel Set

Victor brand chisels are a range of quality tools made in partnership between Axminster and a traditional Sheffield-based manufacturer, produced to a specific design and strict manufacturing standards. Victor chisels are high quality chisels worthy of the name, the blades are hand forged in A2 steel and cryogenically heat treated. Special attention is given to detail and finish so that the tools have a true quality feel about them. The bevel edges are fine ground with a clean finish and the cutting edges ground and honed to a precise angle. The handles are socketed to the blades for extra strength and made from top quality beech, stained a dark rosewood colour and all contained in a presentation box. Cryogenic heat treatment is used to improve the wear resistance of the cutting edge. Soaking the finished components in liquid nitrogen at a temperature in the region of -150°C results in a fundamental alteration in the structure of the alloy and a consequent increase in the surface hardness.
