Ice Bear Waterstone Sharpening Kit
There is no better kit for someone sharpening with waterstones for the first time. The kit contains a 200mm(8") by 62mm(2.1/2") 800 grit stone for initial grinding, a 175mm(7") by 62mm(2.1/2") 6,000 grit fine finishing stone, a non-skid waterstone holder and a Nagura stone for cleaning off the glazed surface of the fine stone. All you need to get started.
the stones and the service
"What can i say?! I come from Malta and the company went out of its way to make sure that the products arrive safely in just 5 days!!! Awesome!!! The stones are awesome and if the 1200 Grit is also used then you're ensured of a super finely edged knife!!! I consider these sharpening stones as a great investment and great value for money simply for the fact that the edge produced on the knife is great and also long lasting. Probably the best knife care equipment i ever got!!"

Great stones I must say!
"I'm a newbie with this, but after a few youtube movies and this sharpening kit, I got my yanagi knife really sharp! I love it. The Non-skid waterstone holder does if function pretty well."

Superb Results
"I purchased this set along with a 400 grit stone and a Veritas MkII honing system.
What a revelation.
After years of sharpening using oil stones and obtaining so-so results, I have finally found something that works.
I jumped straight in at the deep end and decided to sharpen a plane blade first. The honing guide was quick and easy to set up. Starting with the coarse 400 grit first the results were immediate. Years of abuse had meant that my previous sharpenings had rounded the blade somewhat. The waterstone soon had a true edge starting to appear. It's only fair to say that at this initial coarse grit stage quite a lot of time had to be spent grinding away the damaged blade edge. I had to remove a lot of material to obtain a pristine edge.
A further quick honing with the 800 grit and the blade looked sharper than when I stated. A few light strokes with the 6000 grit and the cutting edge took on a polished mirror finish.
The blade is now better than when new.
I have also used the stones to sharpen Ioshen Japanese steel kitchen knives, again with first class results.
I would recommend anyone to try waterstones. I wish I had discovered them sooner.

Very good purchase
"These stones are a very good buy. Definately value for money. My local hardware store sells this same kit for nearly double the price! Highly effective finishing stones. Much better than any oilsotne I have tried in the past. The rubber table top clamp is really good to! It doesnt move at all when in use. As long as you keep the stone wet(after every 5/6 strokes), they work really really well. The 6000 and nagura polish the edge beautifully. If your serious about sharpening, buy these waterstones."
