Colt HSS-M2 5 Star Lip & Spur Precision Wood Drill

These Colt 5 star lip and spur drills have many advantages over standard lip and spur drill bits. Manufactured from the highest quality HSS-M2 steel for maximum wear resistance, they have a self cutting centre point, with the flute set to a 25 degree angle to remove chips quickly and a 'twinland' flute design so that wood chips do not become trapped allowing the drill to rotate cleanly in the hole without burning. You can safely use a 25° entry angle when freehand drilling so there is much less chance of skidding and the longer centre point cuts its own exit hole producing a tear free edge. Drills over 12mm diameter have reduced shanks (13mm).
