Curved Gouge - No.17, 8 Sweep

Offered here is part of the vast range of Henry Taylor carving tools with a blade length of approximately 4 3/4". Fitted with round beech handles, the blades are finished with a uniform black, non-reflective outside surface and a straw coloured ground inside, or cannel. The sweep shown opposite is for illustration purposes only (not to scale) showing the impression that would be made by the tool's edge.
