Jet GHB1340A Engineering Lathe

A high specification medium sized centre lathe built to high standards and suitable for use in educational establishments and for general maintenance and manufacturing applications. The overall capacities are 330mm swing diameter over the bed and 1,015mm between centres and there are eight speeds between 70 & 2,000rpm, selectable through controls on the front of the headstock. All the gears are hardened and ground as are the wearing surfaces on the lathe bed. There is a choice of leadscrew speeds for general turning together with a wide range of thread cutting options, both imperial and metric. The leadscrew direction can be easily reversed for left-hand threading and there is a thread dial indicator to assist in re-engaging the leadscrew in the correct position. Other features are a four-way tool post with room for 16mm square tool shanks and a transverse adjustment on the tailstock for taper turning. A Digital Readout is also fitted to display 'X' Cross Slide, 'Z0' Saddle Travel and 'Z1' Top Slide Travel. The lathe is supplied with a very full set of accessories: 150mm three-jaw self-centring chuck, a 200mm four-jaw chuck, a 300mm faceplate, fixed and travelling steadies, suds tray, rear splash back and stand complete with two lockable cabinet.Available in 415V only.
