Jet VBS18MW Wood & Metal Cutting Bandsaw

This bandsaw has been designed for a workshop that requires a wood cutting bandsaw with the capability of occasional metal cutting, or vice versa. The VBS18MW is capable of cutting timber, ferrous and non-ferrous metals (using the correct blade). A two speed gearbox lets you chose the ideal cutting speeds for wood or metal, 250, 450 or 820m/min or 20, 40 or 70m/min. Adjustment for the most suitable speed for efficient cutting is straight forward. The bandsaw is supplied with two chip trays for the separate collection of metal cutting swarf. A large hand wheel and rack system allows simple adjustment of the cutting height and there is an easy to read built-in cutting height scale. The blade is well supported above and below the table by ball bearing guides. A viewing window is provided for easy blade tracking control, the blade runs on balanced cast iron wheels with crowned, long-life PU tyres. The generous cast iron table tilts up to 45°, and is supplied with both rip cutting and mitre cutting fence. Standard equipment includes: On/Off NVR switch, 20mm bandsaw blade 2 chip trays, rip fence, mitre fence and cross-cut vice.
