The No.8 is our best selling hard working knife. Now we are able to offer you the deluxe version of the same knife using a hardened stainless steel blade. Fitted with the same unique Opinel beechwood handle and locking ferrule as the famous knife but now also has its own leather, belt mounting pouch to keep it ready to hand. "I have always been strongly biased against stainless steel knives, too much chrome often means a clean knife that blunts too fast. This opinel holds a wickedly keen edge, whatever you do with it, with the added assurance that the steel will not deteriorate under adverse conditions.
Excellent value for money, a remarkable blade, the only downside being that the blade shape can be too weak for some uses, it is very thin near the tip."
