Perform CCNP 150mm Planer
A great machine for the hobby workshop with a planing width capacity of 150mm and 2mm depth of cut. The Perform CCNP has an extruded aluminium fence that can be angled over to any angle from 0-45° and has stops to return the fence accurately to 90° and 45°. The blades are easy to change (a blade setting device is included) and revolve at 9000rpm to leave a clean ripple free finish. The unit is powered by a 1,280W brush motor and comfortably deals with the maximum depth of cut even in hard woods. For safety and convenience a dust or chipping extractor should be used with the machine connected to the 55mm diameter dust extraction outlet. The machine is supplied with blade setting jig, safety push pad, HSS knives and service tools.

Better than you think!
"I've had this for almost a year and have been pleasantly surprised at how capable this little machine is! I originally bought it as a replacement for a hand-held power planer (to help quickly rough-size some new cabinet doors for my boat) but it's good enough that I've taken it to the workshop.
Time spent setting it up is richly rewarded (also buy an engineer's try square!) and you should not overwork it, but, taking a bit of time, I manage to plane everything, including oak, with great results. With carefully built - and levelled - MDF extension tables, it will happily (but slowly) do larger work.
Only complaint is that it's very light and needs bolting/clamping down, plus the plastic cover does not stand up to abuse. However, for the price, unbeatable!"

Suitable for hobby use.
"I've had the planer for a few months now and it's done a sterling job of planing even very thin (3mm) pieces of Yew to a gloss finish.
I've recently had an issue though with the poly-V belt. It obviously slipped a groove and ran up against the housing, melting part of the belt and the plastic case enclosing it.
If it were not for the drive belt slipping and melting into the case I would give this little gem a 5 rating."
