Mitre Saw
To convert the machine to mitre saw mode the table is locked in its
highest position and the head part is unlocked with the release
button above the switch and lifted ready for use. The mitre saw
base has a cast in mitre scale with 9 mitre indents of commonly
used mitre angles, 0, 15, 22.5, 31.6 and 45 degrees to ensure easy
setting and precise repeat cuts. For other angles the front handle
securely locks the swivel base in place and can be adjusted to
cut mitres up to 48 degrees left and right. A rear lock lever allows
the blade to be easily tilted for bevel and compound cuts (47 degrees
to the left and 2 degrees to the right); the base can also be extended
on the left hand side for extra work support and as with the base
the back fences also have cast-in scales. |
