Colt Twinland Lip & Spur Wood Drill Bits

The Colt Twinland Lip and Spur Wood drills are produced in Germany to the highest standard using an alloy tool steel. The drill points are ground with diamond wheels to a conventional lip and spur pattern. The centre point allows you to position the bit precisely on a previously marked spot before the drilling commences and it also prevents skidding across the surface when the side cutters move into the wood. The bits have a Twinland flute design which has two advantages. The extra land surface guarantees improved guidance when hand drilling even with minimal depth and it also prevents wood chips squeezing between the drill bit and the drilled hole, thereby eliminating burning and scorch marks.
