Axminster AWDWSG Wetstone Grinder

A more advanced version of the popular small wetstone grinder. Fitted with a support bar very similar to those fitted to much more expensive machines (Tormek/Jet), this will allow almost all of the accessories and jigs to be fitted and allows a great degree of accuracy of the profile or edge to be sharpened. With the 200mm by 40mm wetstone running at 120 rpm and running with the bottom 1/3rd being immersed in water this stone provides a super sharp finish, achieved without risk of overheating the tool edge. The 150mm by 20mm white wheel runs at 2,950 rpm for rough grinding prior to final sharpening. Unlike the more expensive machines in our range there are no alternative stone grades, and the wetstone may need some edge preparation prior to use for the ultimate finish. This machine will however provide a low cost entry level introduction to the world of the super sharp tool! Supplied with a simple 60mm wide chisel holder, rubber feet, eye shields and tool rest.
