Axminster QMS254I 254mm Quiet Slide Mitre Saw

The outstanding feature of this saw is its induction motor which dramatically reduces the noise level, a very important factor when working in noise sensitive areas. Also, there is an electronic brake fitted to the motor which brings the blade to a halt in less than three seconds, giving great benefits in both working efficiency and safety. The base of the saw is cast from aluminium and has nine preset angles as well as a clear indication of the 31.6° angle used for cutting coving. The saw pulls out on dual guide bars to give a 290mm wide x 61mm deep capacity, superb for shelving, deep skirting and other mouldings. The saw is supplied with a general purpose TCT saw blade, material clamp and service tools. Although designed for bench mounting, the saw could be mounted on the Axminster Mitre Saw Stand (200087) with the aid of a plywood or MDF sub base.
