Liberon Finishing Oil
A blend of high quality oils, resins and dryers. A most dramatic demonstration of the qualities of this finish was given by Jan Sanders who, having turned a small oak bowl, applied three coats of finishing oil, allowed it to dry and then poured a quantity of blue water based wood dye into the bowl. After gently swilling it around, Jan poured the dye out and wiped the bowl dry. Needless to say no trace of the dye could be detected on the inside of the bowl. This oil will give good resistance against water, alcohol and food acid marks and will give a matt to satin finish dependent upon the number of coats. A gloss can be achieved by applying a paste wax. Also approved safe for toys. Coverage: 1litre to 8 - 12m². Drying: approximately 5 hours.

"I tried this oil first on bows, the need was of an elastic finish that would provide good weather protection.
I was amazed, it's fast drying and if you take of the excess it leaves wood "natural" still providing an excellent protection.
Now I am using it on several other woodworking tasks where the warmth of oil can be appreciated but you don't want to spend days waiting for your linseed oil to cure or where you don't want to add the unpleasing effect of a oil-varnish blend.
I highly recommend it, that's probably why despite the cost of shipping to Italy I already bought 7 liters and will buy some more.

Easy to Apply Good Looking Finish
"This oil produces a good finish enhances the wood and is relatively easy to apply. My one criticism is with the 5litre can. It is very difficult to decant the oil into a smaller container without spilling the contents especially when the can is full. An improved pourer like they have on engine oil cans would improve matters."
