Festool Guide Rail & Accessories
The combination of a Festool circular saw and the Festool Guide Rail creates a superb system for cutting sheet materials. Available in varying lengths (we stock 800mm and 1,400mm), the guide rails have two PTFE strips embedded into them to allow the tool to slide smoothly on the rail. On the underside of the rail there are two neoprene strips which hug the surface of the material, reducing slippage. There is also a special rubber strip on the underside which is used to minimise splintering on the top surface of the board. This strip is cut by the saw blade on the first cut and thereafter supports the upper face of the material whilst it is being cut. There is a set of clamps available for securing the rail to the board and joining bars which will enable two lengths to be accurately joined together to form one long length. The manufacturer recommends that although joining bars are supplied singularly, two are required to join rails.
