Henry Taylor Shear Scraper
Ground at an angle of 30°-45°, the shear scraper produces a very smooth surface prior to sanding, taking out small bumps or ripples left by a gouge. They are also very useful for delicately refining the final shape. The corners of the tools are gently rounded for smooth, gliding traverse along the tool rest and they have fully rounded noses, allowing cuts to be made either way dependent on grain direction.
