"Well I don't know about the term 'mini' - I certainly needed help in carrying the package up to my workshop - but there again I'm well past my sell by date!
I've just spent the last two days getting to know this absolutely spiffing (that dates me eh?) little piece of machinery.
It has grown up sized fittings (Morse 2) and does some pretty accurate drilling between centres - which is partly what I got it for as I prefer to drill on the lathe when pen making.
Its capacity for bowl turning is about as much as I can handle at 10" diameter and, if I can think of something to chuck out, I can find enough room to get the bed extension and do table legs in one piece as well.
It comes as no surprise to see it is trade rated after you've manhandled it into place and dabbled for a day or so - it's a real workhorse no doubt.
And its bed mounted bits and bobs and wind up wheels and handles move real smoo-o-oth man - so get one.
Now - Today - OK.

"Have been turning for nine years now and always wanted a small lathe. I spent along time looking around and found this little or not so little lathe to be the best for me. With the bed extension you are able to turn larger items but for me gives me that extra room some times needed. Very quiet and not stated in the specs are 24 stops for fluting etc. Great lathe and a nice company to deel with."
