Single phase, complete, portable, fan-cooled, inverter, compressed air plasma cutting system, with contact striking of pilot arc. Plasma arc cutting : an arc cutting process which severs metal by using a constricted arc to melt a small area of the work. This process can cut all metals that conduct electricity. Allows a rapid, distortion free cutting of steel, aluminium, copper, brass, etc. this model is equipped with a built in compressor, alleviating the need for connecting to an external air source, and will work from a 230V 13A single-phase supply. It weighs only 12kg but will cut mild steel to a maximum of 6mm thick. The package includes a 6 metre contact-cut plasma torch and vapour-trap. This unit is ideal for DIY, auto body and repair & maintenance applications, and is very simple to operate.
