Now we have a really nice benchtop combined planer/thicknesser of a new design especially for the keen home woodworker. With a suprisingly generous capacity for such a small machine there is now no need to purchase expensive prepared timber for your small projects. With a 1,500W brush motor driving a 2 knife block at 9,000rpm you will get a great finish on good quality timbers. The long, machined alloy tables give good support for surfacing, whilst the steel thicknessing table has extending supports to help with preventing sniping. 2 rubber covered feed rollers control the speed of thicknessing at 8m/min, and prevent marking of the timber after the cut. Chip extraction is a must with machines of this type, so an efficient extraction hood with a 100mm outlet is used for both surfacing and thicknessing. Interlock switches are fitted to prevent the machine being used without the extraction hood in place, thus adding to the machine's safety and keeping your workshop clean.
