This 10.8V impact driver is another addition to the popular 10.8 family for Bosch. The GDR offers 100Nm of torque with no kick back due to the impact mechanism, it is less than 1kg in weight but can cover many impact driver applications. Features also include a hex tool holder, double layer gear box for maximum performance, heavy duty cycle switch, easy reach controls, 3 spot LED light is fitted to illuminate work area and the tool housing is very strong and durable with rubber soft grips, the overall size of the tool is 169mm height by 166mm long making it very compact. The Li-Ion batteries have electronic cell protection with no memory effect and low self discharge, the charger gives a 100% charge in 30 minutes. The tool is supplied in a soft case with 2 batteries belt holster, 25 minute charger and 12 piece high quality bit set. Also available, body only version supplied without bit set, batteries, case and charger.

Slightly disappointed
"Perhaps I was expecting too much, but this could not drive a No.12 4" screw into softwood. It could manage No.8 2.75" but it took 3-4 seconds longer than my old black and decker 18v cordless. As you'd expect with a Bosch blue it was very well built, with an excellent carry case and the 1800rpm is useful for pre-drilling small holes. Unfortunately though it is definately not an all-rounder.
Also, I reckon the impact mechanism kicks in too soon.
Great size, weight and shape though.
In summary - I wanted to love it but decided to return it!"
