We have given some thought to the way we offer our chucks to our customers and we have come to the conclusion that they might like to choose which set of jaws they purchase with the chuck. There may also be customers that would like to purchase a second chuck and already have several sets of jaws.
With this in mind we are now offering our very popular K10 model without the jaws with a considerable cost saving. Of course it is still the same superb quality chuck made here in Axminster offering some unique work holding solutions to woodturners. Chuck supplied with Accessory Mounting Jaws.

We think that this is the best universal centre available today. There are two sealed bearings in the body and the working end has a taper for mounting the various interchangeable tips, guaranteeing that they run perfectly concentric. There is an ejector ring behind the tip which is operated by two tommy bars.
The centre is supplied with three tips, a standard 60° cone for general work, a 9.5mm(3/8") diameter by 16mm(5/8") long point for small or close work and a cup or ring centre for open grain or split turning. In addition to the standard tips there are three additional tips which we are now including in this exclusive offer.
Axminster Imperial Light Pull Drive CSFD1/ CSFD2. The light pull drive is a friction drive with steps 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8". Slip the pre-drilled blank onto the drive, bring up the tailstock until the blank is supported by the revolving centre, and away you go. The drive is designed to allow plenty of room to work around the end of the light pull, including finishing. Priced to clear!
If you have turned any of our wine bottle stopper kits, you will appreciate the usefulness of this simple device. With tailstock support, turn the required shape using the diameter of the nylon washer as a guide. When you are happy with the profile, remove the tailstock support and clean up the end of the stopper and finish as required.
• Excellent for fast accurate production • Replacement nylon washers available
Spacers are not required to make up the difference between the length of the pen blanks and the mandrel. This helps to eliminate any vibration encountered when turning blanks on a longer than necessary mandrel. The length of the shaft is adjustable and can be shortened or extended by loosening the locknut.
Removing the shaft turns the mandrel into a compact and versatile collet chuck for holding small components. It accepts standard Axminster ER20 Precision Collets from 2-13mm. Supplied with 6.0 - 5.0mm collet as standard (click here for other sizes or see below).
• Made in Axminster using CNC production techniques
• Versatile Dual Purpose Design
• Fully adjustable for length
• Range of Collets 2-13mm available
When turning bowls and platters, many professionals prefer to remove the evidence of how they were held on the lathe during the turning process. Removing the spigot or recess necessary for mounting onto a chuck can present problems if no facility for reverse chucking the bowl or platter is available.
The Axminster Wood Jaw Plates offer a low cost solution to this problem and you can adapt them to suit the size of bowl you wish to hold.
