Woodturning Chuck Set
The CSC500C Woodturning Chuck set is a fully functioning 54mm diameter four jaw self centering chuck complete with four interchangeable jaw sets and a screw chuck. Dual threads of 1" x 8tpi or 3/4" x 16tpi are included with an adaptor. Using a very smooth and positive movement opened and closed with a tommy bar controlled scroll you are assured of a firm stable grip on the work when the correct jaws are used. This really is an essential holding device for anyone involved in miniature woodturning; beautifully engineered, complete in a fitted case and superb value.
Small but perfectly formed
"You get a lot with this set - the four sets of jaws should cover most hobby needs. The chuck itself is smooth in operation. Its small size allows you to get in close to the base of your turning. But before you buy one ask yourself if it's man enough for what you want. It is 45mm diameter vs 80-120 for the Axminster range which start at 50% more than this one. And you can't put a huge grip on so don't try more than a 0.5 or maybe 1HP lathe. My turning is all under 6 inch diameter on a small lathe so this is ideal. "

Good Value
"I wanted a fairly cheap chuck to turn small thing like goblets and candle sticks, after searching I thought this one offered good value. I was not disapointed, it performs well and is ideal for the beginner who wants to make a step up from making pens. The chuck is very smooth and precise in operation and is supplied with all the jaws you are likely to need in this size bracket. The only thing I found was that apart from the basic instructions on changing the jaws there are instructions on using the chuck, this would be very helpful to the budding woodturner.
Summing up, it offers great value for money and looks like it's built to last. Nice one Axminster"
