Axminster AWVFS Variable Speed Fretsaw

This is a parallel action, multi-speed fretsaw which can be used for a whole range of fine detail sawing in timber, plywood and non ferrous metals. The blade arms pivot independently this gives a straight up-and-down motion for a better cut. The higher speeds are used for thin softer woods such as plywood and the lower speeds for thick timber, hard plastics and soft metals. The throat depth is 400mm(16") and the maximum timber capacity under the guard is 28mm(1.1/8"). Features include tilting table for bevel cutting, removable table insert for access to the lower blade mounting, transparent blade guard, an air blower, and 36mm o/d dust extraction port. Motor speed can be varied from 700-1,700rpm and the speed control and on/off switches are easily accessible. The machine takes both pinned and unpinned blades. Useful variable speed fretsaw for small workshop use.
