Axminster Carver's Vice Arbor

For the woodturner, carving, piercing and detailing turned work while mounted in a chuck fitted to the lathe is not easy and physically inconvenient not to say painful - now with Axminster's help you can relax at your bench, seated if you wish, and detail away to your heart's content with the work still mounted in your chuck but firmly supported in the plane most suited to the work. We have been able to combine our Carver's Vice and a specially designed threaded arbor to hold your chuck still containing your turned work. After you have finished detailing the chuck can be re-mounted onto your lathe for finishing, with the work undisturbed and re-alignment errors avoided. For the Woodcarver, to enhance our Carver's Vice we have produced a special threaded arbor which replaces the one supplied with the vice. If you select the T01 (3/4 x 16) thread version our woodturning accessories can be used to give you and enormous range of holding formats for project materials.
