Axminster HD16FC Pillar Drill
A heavy-duty floor standing drilling machine which is suitable for almost any workshop application. It has a large diameter column, large worktable and is powered by a 550W induction motor. The table height is controlled by rack and pinion gears and can be tilted up to 45° either side of the horizontal. The spindle speed change is easily achieved by moving the positions of the belts on the drive pulleys. A micro switch in the lid cuts off the power supply when the lid is open. A no-volt release switch is conveniently situated on the front of the machine and there is a foot operated safety off switch available with trailing plug and socket which can be inserted between the mains supply and the machine. The built-in light on this machine is fitted with a low wattage bulb which gives excellent illumination for close up work. It is fitted with a precision 13mm keyless chuck which can be easily removed with the drift provided to allow for fitting of larger diameter drills with No 2 Morse taper shanks.
