Sometimes the answer is so obvious it's easy to overlook. Take, for instance, trying to make out a pencil mark on a piece of dark timber, wouldn't it have been easier to use a white pencil in the first place? Obvious, isn't it? Excelent for marking on nearly all woods
"These have nearly replaced ordinary pencils in my workshop. They write briliantly on all but the lightest woods and as so much easier to see than a grey mark. They are rather soft but are easy and fast to sharpen.
