Oakey Sanding Star

A similar principle to a flap wheel, but differing in that the Sanding Star is made up of sixteen crosses of abrasive stacked and mounted on a 6mm shaft. The arms of the cross are cut into thin strips, these 'mould' themselves easily to the contours of the object being sanded. The Sanding Star is of great benefit when sanding mouldings or curved surfaces, the finger design making it almost impossible to dig in. 125mm diameter, available in a choice of grades: Medium (80 grit) or Fine (120 grit) long lasting cloth backed abrasive, 6mm shaft. Max rpm is 4000.
