Sedgwick 571 Morticer

The Sedgwick hollow chisel morticer is a no compromise machine designed for industrial use. It has a cast iron base, column, table and slide ways to provide a rigid and durable mainframe assembly, onto which is mounted the cast iron chisel head and industrial motor. All slide movements are easily adjusted by a single dovetail slide for ease of maintenance. The chisel head assembly is counterbalanced by a weight, giving fingertip control to the rise and fall mechanism. The 1,100W induction motor is fitted with a 13mm chuck to accept various sizes of chisel bits. The table has longitudinal and lateral movement on a single hand wheel control. The angled timber clamp can be adjusted to three positions that give a maximum 180mm width of timber. The table is fitted with longitudinal length stops for repetition work and the head has a two-position depth stop for haunching. Will accept 13/16" and 1.3/16" shanked chisels. Available in single or three phase. Supplied as standard with emergency foot switch.
