A compact and lightweight 215mm (8") slide mitre saw which has many features, the dual slide bars have a smooth accurate mechanism that gives a maximum capacity at 90° of 60 x 270mm and 60 x 190mm at 45° with a large mitre capacity, maximum to the right is 58 degrees and 50 degrees to the left. The machine has a clever trenching facility, a simple lock/unlock button allows for the rebate depth to be left set up when not needed, ideal for repeat use. Very good, but...
"I advise you sit down with the manual and understand how to calibrate the settings BEFORE you touch anything. It is easy to address the wrong grub-screw so be sure you are adjusting the right one.
My only disappointment is that when using the trenching facility, the rails carrying the saw unit back and forth are not completely parallel with the work surface. In the fully extended position, the saw blade is 2mm lower then when the saw is pushed fully back. So when trenching the cut will be lower at the front edge than at the back. There seems to be no adjustment available to correct this. The error seems to be in the casting or subsequently when the main compound mitre bearing was drilled out.
If you do not intend using the trenching feature, then otherwise it is nice piece of kit."
