Yes, automatic! This is a real find - after many months of assessing the sample, we still cannot explain exactly how it works but it just does, brilliantly. To tighten the vice turn the handle in the usual way; as soon as the handle is turned in the opposite direction the screw is disengaged and the travelling jaw slides freely. No springs, levers, bars, etc. Available in two widths 175mm(7") and 225mm(9"), maximum opening 263mm(10.1/2"). It's also provided with a front dog for use in conjunction with a bench dog and the faces are tapped 5/16"-18 BSW to accept facing plates.
