CMT Upcut and Downcut Spiral Cutter

Machined from solid tungsten carbide, these spiral cutters have a smooth chatter free cutting action which is due to the spiral cutting edge remaining in continuous contact with the workpiece. They are unsurpassed for clean cutting in even the most difficult of materials and are extensively used in CNC machines as well as in hand held routers. Upcut gives better chip clearance and prevents burning in plunge cuts whilst downcut gives an extra fine finish when used for edging or trimming laminates. These combined upcut and downcut cutters are used to trim the edges of panels and table tops, leaving sharp, clean edges on both the top and bottom edges.
