Leigh Mortice & Tenon Jig
CNC machined die cast aluminium to very exact tolerances with turned brass and steel parts, ensure that the FMT jig is constructed to a high degree of precision that is replicated in the accuracy and neatness of the finished work. Bench mounted, the FMT jig takes up little room in the workshop and is always readily available for use with little setting up. Featuring a sliding table and aluminium sub-base, the jig is fitted with easy to set precision stops, integral centring guides, UHMV slide bearing surfaces and a positive quick release clamping system. Using combinations of cutters and guides allows a wide range of joint sizes and variations to be achieved. These include angled and compound angled joints using the hinged front clamping plate and T-slot clamping positions. All makes of router can be fitted to the Leigh FMT jig using the routers side fence rod clamps. This system allows the router to be quickly fitted to or removed from the jig, no need for a dedicated router.
