Axminster No.1 Dowelling Jig

An ingenious and well-made jig which can be used to form either E or L joints in timber up to 1.1/4" thick. Construction is from heavy aluminium extrusions sliding on steel bars and the bushes are made from hardened steel and are replaceable. There is a clamp provided on the main part of the jig for holding the timber during drilling and also a second clamp for securing the boards together whilst the position of the jig is being adjusted. Holes are drilled in both boards at the same setting so an accurate line-up is guaranteed. This jig produces an excellent result as well as being good value for money. Accommodates 6mm, 8mm and 10mm dowel holes. Supplied with hardened steel bushes for 6mm, 8mm & 10mm dowels.
