Axminster AW106PT2 Planer Thicknesser with Cast Iron Fence

A trade rated planer thicknesser with ground cast iron planing and thicknessing tables and an cast iron tilting fence. Being made of cast iron this is a very heavy machine and is an excellent choice for either the trade or the discerning home user. The combination of a three knife cutter block and the vibration-reducing mass of the machine results in a very clean finish to the work. The dust extraction hood is positioned underneath the table for surfacing and on top of the table, with one of the tables tilted out of the way, for thicknessing. The three knife cutter block is set using the gauge supplied, ensuring that each knife is set exactly to the block. For optimum setting both tables are fully adjustable and electrically interlocked to avoid accidental starting without the cutter guard in place.
Two other features of note:
1. There are on/off switches on both ends of the machine, one for planing and one for thicknessing.
2. The cast iron fence can be positioned on either side of the table for left hand or right hand operation.
