Axminster Adjustable Bench Roller

This works on much the same principle as a good old-fashioned scissor jack. The Adjustable Bench Roller will find a welcome on the infeed or outfeed or maybe even both sides of many bench-mounted machines. Used in conjunction with a thicknesser the roller effectively increases the machine's bed length. Each single turn of the knob raises or lowers the roller by about 3mm. The minimum height is 45mm, the maximum 160mm. Welding ensures the mechanism and steel base plate stay rigid. The plate measures 260 x 180mm and has holes ready to take fixing screws or bolts. Vee notches cut into each side help with the initial alignment and positioning of the roller. The roller itself measures 250mm long x 25mm diameter. Ball race bearings at either end of the roller ensure smooth free running. It can handle a weight of up to 60kg. The overall dimensions are 370 x 180 x 45mm and the weight is 2.3kg.
