Axminster MCB100A Compact Bandsaw

A small bench mounted machine with all the features of the more familiar stand mounted bandsaws, this machine is smaller and lighter and thus more suitable for the smaller workshop where space is at a premium. It is made to a high standard and has all the features you would expect from a quality machine. The alloy arm is very rigidly constructed and houses the direct drive, quiet running induction motor. The cutting blade is fully supported with ball bearing guides which are adjustable for position to give maximum support whatever size of material is being cut. The blade downward movement is controlled by a torsion spring wrapped around the arm pivot supporting some of the arm weight. A limit switch cuts off the motor when the cut is completed. Angled cuts can be made by rotating the complete saw unit on its base. The arm also has a latch to hold it in the downward position and a convenient carrying handle. This is a compact and well made machine with capacities adequate for most small engineering requirements and light enough to be carried about or stored under a bench.
