CMT Industrial Router Table MkIII
Comprised of a tabletop, fence and base unit, the CMT MKIII router table is available either as a complete unit or as individual components. Note: NVR switch, mitre gauge and feather board are all optional extras. Phenolic Tabletop: The insert plate fitted to the tabletop is pre-drilled for mounting the CMT 2000, using the four bolt configuration specific to it. Other routers such as the DeWalt 625, Elu 177E, Trend T9 and all other routers will require a plate to be drilled to their specific base mounting configurations. Made of Phenolic resin, the top measures 790 x 590mm and is exceptionally stable and remains flat. Both ends of the table are grooved to take the CMT fence mounting blocks and the top is drilled and fitted with threaded inserts to suit the unique CMT pivot adjustment arrangement. A rigid section aluminium extrusion with a 19mm channel is bolted to the front edge to take mitre fences and cross slides. The top is supplied complete with a centring mandrel and levelling grub screws in the insert plate. Fence: This heavy-duty fence consists of an anodised extruded aluminium section incorporating top and side T-slots to take 8mm hex-head bolts for mounting feather boards and guards. Fitted with high-density adjustable nylon faces, it is supplied with three nylon inserts for zero clearance routing operations, generally when using large diameter cutters. For edge planing and moulding operations, two shimming bars are supplied that fit into 0.8mm and 1.58mm deep grooves in the fence extrusion to bring the out-feed face forward of the in-feed face. Fitted with nylon clamping blocks that fit into grooves cut in each end of the tabletop, the fence also has a unique pivot arrangement that allows very precise fine cutting width adjustments to be made. The fence is supplied with a 63.5mm plastic dust port, ratchet handle, sprung pivot pin, transparent cutter guard, nylon clamping blocks, clamping knobs and 3 no-clearance inserts. Cabinet Base: Made of 20mm thick melamine faced fibreboard, the cabinet base is 910mm high and provides a base and cupboard storage facility. Flat packed for self-assembly only, it is supplied with hinges, adjustable levelling feet, and all fastenings.

Once it is together its very good
"The top and fence are excellent and well engineered. Putting it all together takes some working out and when putting the base toghether you will need four arms or some help. Unless you want to do what I did and accidently cause two of the fittings to spring out of the side of the cabinet bottom!! V.Impressed with the fence and it allows you to progress cuts incremently and in control. A good purchase as I could not yet afford a spindle moulder and can just about meet my needs with this table and some (expensive) CMT cutters. Worth buying - but remeber to check with Tech Advice first to make sure you get the right insert plate for router attachment."

bit of a fight
"For the money I didn't expect to have to fight with the fence so much. I cant work out the last comment, as moving the fence is very tough and jerky. The mitre slide has a nicely machined channel but the fence supplied is too flimsy to be accurate and wobbles in the channel.
