Kirschen Brass Headed Mallet

A real little gem of a mallet from the Wilhelm Schmitt factory in Germany. It's a wonderfully compact little tool with a 45mm diameter brass head and hardwood handle which seems to almost become part of the hand in use. You can either hold it well down the handle for taking a good solid blow at a large chisel or with the head in the palm of the hand for detailed work. We think that the 550g weight is just about right for all but the really big carving jobs. Comes in a protective leather wallet.
